The Netherlands football team have represented their nation in international games since 1905.
The team go by many different nicknames including "Oranje", "Holland", "Clockwork Orange" and "The Flying Dutchmen".
Holland have known to be a dominant force in international football for many years. They have competed in ten FIFA World Cups since 1934 and made it all the way though to the final three times- 1974, 1978 and 2010.
The team have also played in nine European Championships. In 1988, Holland beat USSR in the final to win the tournament. This was the countries first major tournament win in international football.
Robin van Persie is Netherlands top scorer of all time, with 50 goals scored in 102 appearances for his country.
